This Cookie Policy is an integral part of the Privacy Notice of Grupo Idoli, S.A. de C.V. (“ÍDOLOS”). It explains what cookies are, what types we use in idolos.mx (hereinafter, the “Site”), for what purpose, for how long and how you can manage or disable them at any time.

2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website installs on your device (computer, cell phone or tablet) when you visit it. They allow the site to remember information about your visit – such as your preferred language, the products in your cart, your user session or your browsing preferences – to improve the experience and for analytical or advertising purposes.
Along with cookies, similar technologies such as web beacons (tracking pixels), local storage, browser session storage and fingerprinting may also be used. In this Policy, the term “cookies” encompasses all of these equivalent technologies.
3. Classification of cookies we use
3.1. By its owner
- First-party cookies: installed and read directly by idolos.mx.
- Third-party cookies: installed by domains other than ours, such as Google, Meta or embedded analytics/advertising tools. ÍDOLOS does not directly control these cookies; they are governed by the privacy policies of each third party.
3.2. Duration
- Session cookies: they are deleted when you close the browser.
- Persistent cookies: they remain on your device for the period defined by their issuer (from hours to years).
3.3. By purpose
We classify cookies into four categories according to their purpose. This is the classification we use in the cookie settings banner of the Site:

5. Legal basis for processing
The use of cookies is in accordance with:
- Article 8 of the Federal Law for the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Private Parties (LFPDPPP), regarding the consent of the owner for the processing of personal data.
- Privacy Notice Guidelines issued by INAI (DOF 17-Jan-2013).
- Article 13 sections VIII and XII of the Regulations of the LFPDPPP, regarding security measures and information on the use of tracking technologies.
For users browsing from the European Union or the United Kingdom, the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive are also observed.
6. Your consent and how to manage it
6.1. Cookie banner
The first time you visit idolos.mx, we show you a banner that allows you to:
- Accept all cookies from the four categories.
- Reject all optional cookies (keeping only the necessary ones).
- Configure your preference category by category (functional, analytical, advertising).
Your choice is recorded in the cookie idolos_consent_v1. You can change it at any time by clicking on the link “Set my preferences” link available in the footer of the Site.
6.2. Configuration from the browser
Additionally, you can configure cookie management directly from your browser. Each browser has a privacy panel to delete, block or limit cookies:
Important: blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of the Site (cart, session, checkout). Necessary cookies do not require consent because they are indispensable for the operation.
6.3. Third-party and opt-out cookies
You can manage opt-out from the main advertising providers from your own panels:

7. Transfers and cookie providers
Some providers that install third-party cookies may process data in countries other than Mexico. Transfers are made under contractual clauses or equivalent legal frameworks:

8. Conservation period of data derived from cookies
- Server logs with IP and user-agent: up to 12 months.
- Google Analytics data: 2 years (configurable).
- Advertising pixel data: up to the term set by the provider (Meta: up to 24 months; Google Ads: up to 18 months, unless a deletion request is made).
- Consent cookie (
idolos_consent_v1): 12 months.
9. Your Rights
As the owner of the personal data collected through cookies, you have the following rights in terms of articles 22 to 27 LFPDPPP:
- Access: know what data we have collected from cookies.
- Rectification: to correct inaccurate data.
- Cancellation: request the deletion of the data.
- Opposition: oppose the processing, in particular for personalized advertising purposes.
- Revocation of consent: to withdraw the consent previously granted.

10. Modifications to this Policy
ÍDOLOS reserves the right to modify this Policy to reflect changes in the technologies used, supplier inventory or applicable regulatory framework. Substantial modifications will be notified through the same cookie banner, requesting a new consent when applicable.
